Since the appearance of the giants, humanity has lived in seclusion within a fortress city behind immense walls to prevent any attack from them. Having not seen any for 100 years, even though they live confined, people have regained their joy of living. However, just as everyone believed themselves safe, a giant towering above the wall appears and instantly creates a breach, leaving the way open for other giants rushing into the enclosure to devour the humans. In this wave of panic, Eren and his sister watch their mother die before their very eyes. Barely escaping the massacre, Eren now has only one idea in mind: to join the elite garrison unit and eliminate every last giant.
